HENDERSON, Tenn. - Five Freed-Hardeman spring sport athletes were recently recognized as NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Savannah Cole and Summer Cole (softball), Bryant Cashion (men's golf), and Charlie Overturf and Evan Mansell (baseball) were among the players named to the scholar-athlete teams as their respective sports' post-seasons wrapped up.

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must be a junior or senior academically and maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

It marked the second time for seniors Overturf and Mansell to be recognized and the first time for the remaining three athletes, all of which are juniors.
