HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman volleyball team added another player to its 2012 class with the recent signing of Tabatha Peace of Jonesboro, Ark.
Peace, who will be a sophomore, prepped at Valley View HS where she was a member of a state championship team as a junior while playing setter and defensive specialist. She was also a standout basketball player, receiving all-distrct and all-conference honors.
She was a student at FHU last year and worked as a student assistant with the women's basketball team.
"Tabatha had a good work out for us and will add depth to our back row play both as a defensive player and setter," said FHU head coach Todd Humphry. "We graduated Carissa Foshee and Sandra Montoya that handled most of our serve receive and Tabatha looks to fit that role. Tabatha is a good athlete that should pick up where she was and improve fro the last time she was on the court. She will be a hard worker for us and will be able to compete with the young class of players that we are bringing in this season."
Tabatha is the daughter of Neil and Alyssa Turley and Dean Peace.
