FHU Cross Country Runners Receive National Scholar Athlete Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently announced that seven FHU cross country runners were among 210 student-athletes in the country to be named to the 2015 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete team.

In order to be nominated as a Daktronics Scholar Athlete, students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for the honor. The following student athletes were selected from the Freed-Hardeman cross country teams based on their academic merit:

Molly Kasarjian
Sloan Scott
Cassie Searcy

On the women's side, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) led all schools with 11 athletes on the list that qualified for the honor. For a complete list of all female student athletes who qualified for the honor, click here
