Lady Lions fall in straight sets to IU-Southeast

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion volleyball team continued to receive solid production from their young squad, but it wasn't enough as they fell to Indiana University-Southeast in straight sets Saturday at the Lindsey Wilson College Classic (25-23, 25-20, 25-22).

Despite the loss, Daymari Brito continued to shine as she led the Lady Lions (1-2) with 15 kills. Fellow upperclassman Alex Britt followed close behind on the attack with 10 kills on 15 attempts. 

Freshman setter Lindsey Gordon continued to record solid minutes, as she finished the contest with 34 assists while libero Bailey Brown countered IU-Southeast's attack with 12 digs. The Lady Lions hit just .138 percent in the match and committed 21 attack errors in the loss.

Hannah Joly paced the attack for the Grenadiers (2-1), as she finished the day with 11 kills while Monica Loftus followed close behind with 10 kills and two service aces. Setter Hannah Barker dished out 23 assists in the match while also contributing on the defensive end with eight digs in the win.

With the loss, the Lady Lions fall to 1-2 on the season.
