FHU Golf shatters program records at Mid South Tournament

MT. JULIET, Tenn. - Records were being broken left and right during the final round of the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational Tuesday in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

Junior Easton Lavelle shot a program record 65 (-6) in his final round, carding eight birdies in route to winning the individual title. His two-day total 132 (-10) shattered the program 36-hole record by eight shots. 

Peyton Hinson's even par 71, Hudson Huber's 72, and Lance Moore's 73 enabled the Lions to break the 
lowest team round by seven shots, shooting a  281 (-3). Their two-day total 574 put them in fourth place overall.

The Lady Lions shot a team score 325 to finish in fifth place (324-325). Senior Alex Hodgkinson led the way, shooting 78.  Brittany Myers was one shot back, carding a 79.  Myers' two day total of 158 (79-79) put her tied for fourteenth place. Hodgkinson's 161 (83-78) finished tied for nineteenth.  

The Lions and Lady Lions play again September 26-27, hosting their fall invitational in Covington, Tenn. at the Covington Country Club.
