COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion soccer team couldn't have asked for much more out of Nina Carolissen, as she fired in two goals and dished out one assist, to propel the Lady Lions to a 3-0 win over Stephens College Saturday in Columbia, Mo.

With the win, the Lady Lions pick up their second straight win and improve to 2-3-3 on the season and 2-0-2 in conference play. With the loss, Stephens falls to 2-7 on the season and 1-3 in AMC play.

The Lady Lions (2-3-3, 2-0-2 AMC) dominated the offensive possession, as they pounded out 22 shots and peppered 11 shots on goal in the match compared to the Stars (2-7, 1-3 AMC) who attempted just eight shots and four shots on goal in the match.

Carolissen led the Lady Lions on the attack with two goals, seven shots and four shots on goal. Senior Kennedi Van Ravestein followed close behind, as she chipped in one goal of her own while limiting the Stars to just four shots on goal in the match. Taylor Jenkins and Taylor Woods both dished out an assist in the match to keep FHU in control the entire way.

Carolissen would get things started for the Lady Lions in the 24th minute, as she was able to slip past the Stephens defense and fire in a goal off an assist by Taylor Jenkins to put FHU up 1-0.

Carolissen would strike again to begin the second frame, as this time she received a pass from Taylor Woods, which she was able to fire past Stephens keeper Maeghan Ely, to put the Lady Lions up 2-0.

Kennedi Van Ravestein would get in on the scoring flurry in the 83rd minute, as Carolissen fired in a pass to the middle, which Van Ravestein was able to score off the left post for FHU's third goal in the match. Three goals would be too much to overcome for the Stars, as the Lady Lions picked up their second conference win of the season.

With the win, the Lady Lions move to 2-3-3 on the season and 2-0-2 in AMC play.

UP NEXT: The Lady Lions return home Thursday, September 29 for a match-up with William Woods (Mo.) University. The Lady Lions kick things off at 5:00 PM followed by the men's match at 7:00 PM at the Josh Riley Soccer Complex.
