HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Creek Wood HS presence on the Freed-Hardeman University softball team keeps on growing.
The Lady Lions added a third player from the Dickson, Tenn., high school with the recent signing of Brandi Edwards. Edwards, a 5-foot-3 outfielder, will join former teammates Britney Caldwell and Brittany Steverson this fall. She was an all-district selection while at Creek Wood.
"We're excited about Brandi's being in the outfield for us next year," said FHU head coach Todd Humphry. "Her speed and slapping ability will help us replace some of the production we graduated from last year's team."
She is the daughter of Norman and Gila Edwards of White Bluff, Tenn.
