Lady Lions down Divison 2 Lane College; move to 4-7

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Lady Lion volleyball team moved to 4-7 on the season Tuesday night after an impressive 3-0 victory over NCAA Division II neighbor Lane College at the J.F. Lane Gymnasium in Jackson, Tenn.

Daymari Brito and Beth Maples led FHU's attack, each with 14 kills while Junior Sara Denton had 23 assists in the match. Cynthia Beene countered Lane's attack well with 11 digs.

The Lady Lions (4-7) hit .419 in the match compared to Lane College, who hit -.125. The Lady Lions received solid contribution from nearly every player on the roster, as they were in control the entire match.

With the win, the Lady Lions move to 4-7 on the season.

UP NEXT: The Lady Lions will be back in action Friday, September 30, as they travel to Hannibal, Mo. for a 3:00 PM match-up against Hannibal-LaGrange University.
