ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference recently announced its men’s and women’s Golfer of the Week awards and for a second straight week, the men’s award winner came from Freed-Hardeman University – with Lance Moore taking home the honors this week while Lindenwood University-Belleville’s Paula Vega claimed the women’s award.

Moore, a junior from Hamilton, Ala., shot an opening round 72 at the Freed-Hardeman Fall Invitational and followed it up with a 4-under par 68 in the event’s final round, as he took home a first place individual finish. His performance also helped the Lions win the event, as they beat six teams, including four AMC foes.

This week marks Moore's first time to be recognized as Men's Golfer of the Week for the American Midwest Conference.

The honor comes on the heels of a productive week last week that saw fellow FHU golfer Easton Lavelle take home Golfer of the Week honors after a 10-under first place finish at the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
