ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Freed-Hardeman Lion soccer team exploded for 11 goals Saturday against St. Louis College of Pharmacy, as a pair of hat tricks by Alex Meany and Andres Brealey ignited an 11-2 pounding of the Eutectics.

Andres Arias Garcia also got in on the action with two goals of his own while Lucas Las Casas, George Achard and Matt Mescher each contributed a goal in the win.

FHU (3-9, 3-6  AMC) dominated the offensive possession, as they attempted 30 shots and and 20 shots on goal while St. Louis College of Pharmacy (1-12, 0-10 AMC) attempted just seven shots and six shots on goal in the match.

The Eutectics kept things close in the first frame, as Josh Anim Ano found the back the net twice, first in the 20th minute followed by a goal in the 43rd minute just before halftime.

However, a pair of goals by Andres Brealey in the 9th and 30th minutes along with one goal each by Andres Arias Garcia and Alex Meany would give the Lions a 4-2 edge entering the half.

The second half would belong to FHU as the Lions exploded with seven more goals, courtesy of a completed hat trick by Brealey and Meany to go along with goals by Garcia, Las Casas, Achard and Mescher to round out the scoring in the 11-2 victory.

With the win, the Lions move to 3-9 on the season and 3-6 in conference play. The Eutectics fall to 1-12 on the season and 0-10 in AMC play with the loss.
