NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion basketball team proved they could play against any team in the country Thursday, as a short trip to Nashville resulted in an 81-64 exhibition victory over NCAA Division 1 Lipscomb University.

FHU never trailed in the match-up, as they took advantage of a slow start by Lipscomb and jumped out to an early 21-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

The Lady Lions also won the rebound battle in the match-up, as they out-rebounded the Lady Bison 48-35. The free throw line was also friendly to FHU, as the Lady Lions went 28-32 from the stripe (87.5%) while the Lady Bison shot just 46.7 percent from the line on 7-for-15 shooting.

In addition to impressive rebounding, the Lady Lions also made good on second chance opportunities, as 22 points came off previous missed shots while Lipscomb compiled just six second-chance points in the match-up.
