ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion volleyball team picked up their third straight win Friday, as they defeated St. Louis College of Pharmacy 3-0 on the road in St. Louis, Mo. (25-17, 25-17, 25-12)

FHU (10-12, 5-4 AMC) received solid contribution from nearly every player on the roster, as Beth Maples led the Lady Lions on the attack with 11 kills. Meg Talkington and Daymari Brito followed close behind, as Talkington finished the night with eight kills while Brito pounded out seven kills in the win.

Lindsey Gordon continued her strong play, as she dished out 35 assists while Bailey Brown countered the Eutectics attack with 24 digs.

The Lady Lions pounded out twice as many kills as St. Louis College of Pharmacy (1-17, 0-9 AMC) in the match, as they out-hit the Eutectics 48-24 while hitting an impressive .237 percent clip.

FHU took advantage of a slow start by St. Louis College of Pharmacy in the opening set and continued to pile it on in the subsequent sets to follow, as the Eutectics struggled on the attack, hitting just .076 percent in the match.

With the win, the Lady Lions improve to 10-12 on the season and 5-4 in conference play. The Eutectics fall to 1-17 on the season and 0-9 in AMC play with the loss.
