ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion basketball team picked up their third straight win Thursday, as a double-double performance by Kim Mallory led FHU to a 57-38 victory over Harris-Stowe State University.

Mallory led the Lady Lions (3-0, 1-0 AMC) on the offensive end, as she put up 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the victory. Taleeah Cross followed close behind with 17 points of her own while Tiffany Pate dominated the glass with 15 rebounds.

Despite shooting just 25 percent from the field in the game, the Lady Lions led the entire way, as Harris-Stowe (2-1, 0-1 AMC) shot a sluggish 20 percent in the game after mustering just 38 points in the contest.

Brionna Taylor led the Hornets on the offensive end, as she put up 10 points while Angela Randall followed close behind with eight points and eight rebounds in the loss.

Despite Harris Stowe keeping things tight for a majority of the first half, the Lady Lions were able to close the second quarter on a 5-0 run to take a convincing 28-18 lead into the half.

The momentum continued in the second half, as the Lady Lions jumped out to a 16 point lead at the 38-22 mark with 3:42 remaining in the third quarter, courtesy of a three-point field goal by Kim Mallory.

The Lady Lions would reach their largest lead of the game in the fourth quarter at the 55-36 mark with 1:45 remaining and would not look back, as they cruised to a 57-38 victory for their third win of the season.

With the win, the Lady Lions move to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Hornets fall to 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in AMC play with the loss.

UP NEXT: The Lady Lions continue their road schedule Saturday, November 19 as they travel to Belleville, Illinois for a match-up with Lindenwood University-Belleville. Tip off is set for 1:00 PM.
