Lady Lions dominate Hannibal-LaGrange 85-36

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion basketball team received contribution from every player Saturday, as they were able to pick up a convincing 85-36 over Hannibal-LaGrange University at the Brewer Sports Center.

Freshman Haylee Croom led the Lady Lions on the attack with 15 points while Sandrea Sylman followed close behind with 13 points. Tiffany Pate dominated the glass with 14 rebounds in the contest. The Lady Lions had 14 players log minutes in the match-up with 13 of them contributing points in the win.

The Lady Lions (8-0, 3-0 AMC) shot 41 percent in the game compared to Hannibal-LaGrange (2-7, 2-2 AMC), who shot just 26 percent from the field and 22 percent from behind the arc.

Sarah Cline led the Trojans on the attack, as she scored 15 of HLGU's 35 points while pulling down six rebounds in the process. Kenna Greenway followed close behind with nine points of her own.

The Lady Lions would dominate the entire match-up, as they held a 10 point advantage following the first quarter. The hot shooting would continue in the second stanza, as FHU would double their lead at the 40-20 mark entering the break.

The Lady Lions would get the entire bench involved in the second half and never miss a beat, as the bench combined for 40 of FHU's 85 points in the contest. FHU would reach their largest lead of the game to end the fourth quarter, as they pulled away for a convincing 85-36 victory.

With the win, the Lady Lions improve to 8-0 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. With the loss, the Trojans fall to 2-7 on the season and 2-2 in AMC play.
