HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion basketball team cruised to their 25th straight victory of the season Saturday, as they rolled to a 94-40 win over Central Baptist College at the Brewer Sports Center.

Sandrea Sylman paced the Lady Lion attack, as she exploded for 29 points after shooting an impressive 5-for-7 from behind the arc. Taleeah Cross and Carrie Hatchel also reached double digits in the match-up, as each chipped in 14 points in the win.

The Lady Lions (25-0, 19-0 AMC) shot a solid 42 percent from the field in the game compared to Central Baptist (5-19, 4-15 AMC) who shot 25 percent from the field and just 12 percent from behind the arc in the loss. FHU also won the battle on the glass, as they out-rebounded the Mustangs 52-32, led by Tiffany Pate who pulled down 12 rebounds in the win.

Emily Ridgell led the Mustangs on the offensive end, as she put up 16 points and was the only CBC player to reach double digits in the match-up. Aaliyah Block led CBC on the glass, as she pulled down six rebounds in the loss.

The Lady Lions started the game slow, as they shot just 33 percent on 8-for-24 shooting from the field in the first quarter. However, despite the slow start, the Lady Lions used their defensive pressure to get stops and keep a 20-13 advantage entering the second quarter.

Central Baptist would make an early run to begin the second quarter, as they out-shot the Lady Lions 7-2 in the opening three minutes to close the gap to two at the 22-20 mark. However, from there it would be all Sandrea Sylman, as she exploded for 18 of FHU's 24 points to end the quarter. The Lady LIons out-shot the Mustangs 24-2 in the final six minutes to tak e a 46-22 lead entering the break.

The Lady Lions continued to dominate in the second half, as they maintained a double digit lead for the remainder of the game. FHU reached their largest lead of the game at the end of regulation and cruised to a 94-40 victory.

With the win, the Lady Lions move to 25-0 on the season and 19-0 in conference play. Central Baptist falls to 5-19 on the season and 4-15 in AMC play with the loss.
