HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lion baseball team picked up another player for the 2010 season with the recent signing of Daniel Riley of Benton, Ky.

Riley, a first baseman/outfielder, batted .400 as a senior with five homeruns and 42 RBIs while playing for Coach Don Bock at Marshall Co. HS in Benton.  He also went 4-2 on the mound with a 1.94 ERA.

His performance earned him all-tournament honors at both the district and region tournaments in 2009.

"We are very excited about Daniel becoming a part of our program," said FHU head coach Jonathan Estes.  "Not only does he have great tools on the field, but he is a hard-worker and has great passion for the game. He was on a very successful high school team, so he knows how to win. I look forward to seeing him in a Lions uniform for the next four years."

Daniel is the son of Jeff and Sherri Riley.
