FHU Golf team completes final round play at Golden Tiger Invite

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The Lion and Lady Lion golf teams concluded play at the Brenau Golden Tigers Spring Invite in Gainesville, Ga. on Tuesday and despite both teams playing well, they couldn't make up any ground on the field in the final round.

Sophomore Hudson Huber led the Lions the final round, shooting a one-over par 73. Easton Lavelle followed close behind with a 75. Rounding out the team scoring were Ben Burnette's 77 and Lance Moore's 79. The Lions two-day total of 306-304-610 found them finishing in third place. Easton Lavelle's 73-75-148 placed in on the all-tournament team.

The Lady Lions played significantly better during their final round Tuesday, improving their team score by 25 strokes. Their score of 322 was tied for the low team round in the final round. Sophomore Chloe Kraus led the way, shooting a five over-par 77. Brittany Myers' 81, Emily Whitnell's 82, and Kirsten Parker's 82 rounded out the team scoring. 

The Lady Lions two-day total of 347-322-669 found them finishing in third place.  Brittany Myers' 75-81-156 placed her on the all-tournament team.  Chloe Kraus' 83-77-160 earned her a sixth place finish.
 
The Lady Lions and Lions are back in action April 3-4 at the Martin Methodist Redhawk Spring Classic in Lewisburg, TN.
