FHU Golf Represented Well In Final Round Of Natural State Classic

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. - The Freed-Hardeman golf teams concluded final round play in style Tuesday at the Natural State Classic in Heber Springs, Ark, as the Lady Lions finished first overall while the men's team took home a seventh place finish.

The Lady Lions improved 10 strokes from the opening round to move up the leaderboard and finish in the top spot. Kayland Boling continued to lead the team, shooting a final round 77 (81-77-158) to capture the individual title. Three more Lady Lions finished in the top ten, including Brittany Myers (86-82-168; T6), Chloe Kraus (88-82-170; 8th), and Kirsten Parker (84-87-171; T9).  

The Lions also had a strong final round, as they improved 15 strokes to move up the team leaderboard and finish in seventh place. Easton Lavelle's 3-under round of 68 (77-68-145) paced the Lions and found him with a T12 finish. Ben Burnette (76-75-151), Hudson Huber (80-73-153) and Trey Lashlee (76-78-154) rounded out the team scoring.

UP NEXT: The AMC Men's Conference Tournament will be played April 24-25 in Camdenton, Mo. at the Old Kinderhook Golf Club while the Women's Conference Tournament will be held May 1-2 in Eugene, Mo. at the Redfield Golf Club.
