FHU Golf Solid In Opening Round of AMC Tournament

CAMDENTON, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference men's golf tournament began today in Camdenton, Mo. and featured 36 holes of golf at the Old Kinderhook Golf Resort.

Following day one of the tournament, the Lions currently sit in third place and five shots out of second place after posting a 36-hole team total of 308-304-612.

Pacing the Lions was sophomore Hudson Huber, who shot a 76-75-151. Huber currently stands in a tie for eighth place with the strong opening round. Ben Burnette followed close behind, posting a 79-73-152 and is currently tied for 10th.

Lance Moore and Easton Lavelle rounded out the team scoring for FHU, as Moore posted a 76-77-153 while Lavelle fired a 77-79-156 to keep the Lions within striking distance.

Final round action of the AMC Conference Tournament begins Tuesday morning with split tee times.
