Women's Golf Solid In Day One At Wallace State Invitational

CULLMAN Ala. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion golf team got off to a great start Monday at the Wallace State Invitational, as they shot a team score of 314, putting them in first place following day one of the event.

Brittany Myers finds herself in first place after firing a two-over par 74. The junior from McMinnville, Tenn shot a two-under front nine and carded the second lowest individual score on record. 

Junior Emily Whitnell currently sits in second place after shooting a five-over par 77 while Lenexa, Kan. native Chloe Kraus is in third place after firing a 79. Kayland Boling rounded out the scoring for the Lady Lions after firing a round of 84.

Final round action begins Tuesday morning at the Cross Creek Golf Course in Cullman, Ala.
