HANNIBAL, Mo. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion soccer team secured their fifth straight win Saturday on the road at Hannibal-LaGrange University, as Nina Carolissen's lone goal was just enough to secure the 1-0 shutout of the Trojans in Hannibal, Mo.

The Lady Lions (7-4, 5-1 AMC) out-shot the Trojans (3-9, 1-5  AMC) 18-10 in the match, led by Carolissen, who attempted five shots and two shots on goal while firing in the eventual game winning goal.

Hannibal-LaGrange attempted just three shots on goal in the match, as the Lady Lions played solid on the defensive front. Erin Douglas was solid in goal for FHU, as she kept the Trojans scoreless and saved all three of the shots she faced in the match.

Despite both teams keeping things scoreless for a majority of the afternoon, the Lady Lions were finally able to capitalize in the 61st minute, as Carolissen was able to break free down the field to fire in the lone goal in the match.

The goal for Carolissen marked her fifth of the season and was her first goal since September 2nd, where she scored one of FHU's two goals in a 2-0 shutout of Bryan College. The victory for the Lady Lions marks the fifth time this season they have shutout an opponent.

With the win, the Lady Lions move to 7-4 on the season and 5-1 in conference play. Hannibal-LaGrange University falls to 3-9 on the season and 1-5 in AMC play with the loss.
