HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman University Women's Soccer team tied St. Catharine College on Saturday afternoon, 1-1, at the Josh Riley Soccer Complex in their final non-conference match of the season.

St. Catharine opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a goal from Krista Russell.  FHU would answer with a goal in the 27th minute from Nikki Ceeney, who tapped in a well-placed corner kick from Casey Riddle for her team-leading sixth goal of the season.

The match was played evenly in the second half with the Lady Lions missing two point blank chances that would have given them the lead.  FHU had 17 shots to St. Catharine's 14 and both teams had nine shots on goal.  Tiffany Harris was credited with six saves in goal for FHU.

FHU returns to action on Tuesday in its final home match of the season against Union (Tenn.) University at 5:00 PM.
