HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion softball program added another player - and a familiar name - to its 2011 recruiting class with the recent signing of Tiffany Tucker of Lyles, Tenn.

Tucker, a right-handed pitcher, prepped at East Hickman HS where she won 16 games while posting a 1.96 ERA with 178 strikeouts during her senior season.  She also hit .365 with three home runs and 20 RBI.  She was a three-time all-district selection and was the team's offensive player of the year following her sophomore season after hitting .416 with 21 stolen bases.

"Tiffany is a super pitcher that will really help our staff next season," said FHU head coach Todd Humphry.  "I feel that she will only get better as she continues to work each season.  She comes from a very supportive family that means a lot to FHU and the softball program.  We are truly excited about Tiffany's decision to become a Lady Lion."

Her sister, Tarrah, pitched for FHU from 2006-2009 and holds 12 school pitching records.  Tarrah is currently a graduate assistant with the program.

She joins Natalie Nelson (Jackson, Tenn./Trinity Christian Academy), Sarah Elizabeth Cousar (Covington, Tenn./Covington HS) and Bailey Morgan (Covington, Tenn./Covington HS) in the Lady Lions' recruiting class.

Tiffany is the daughter of Don and Twyla Tucker.
