NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman cross country teams participated in their first full-distance meet of the season at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic at Percy Warner Park.

The Lady Lions placed 19th out of 23 teams while the Lions finished 22nd in a field of 22.

For the women, freshman Sloan Scott again set the pace with a time of 20:48.  Mary Faust and Brianna Steffy crossed the finish line with times of 23:24 and 23:37 respectively, while Hannah Leach was close behind at 24:03.

Elise Beisel (25:10), Mert Shepard (25:41), Bethany Iversen (25:51), Jordan Saliba (28:07) and Abby Dickey (33:09) rounded out the times for the Lady Lions.

On the men's side, freshman Christean Covington led the way with a time of 30:39, finishing just ahead of Luke Searcy who came in at 30:47.  Jason King (32:57), Bryan Davis (34:45) and Brandon Mann (36:26) also posted time for the Lions.
