HENDERSON, Tenn. - It's been a long time coming, but the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion volleyball team has finally broken into the NAIA's Top 25.

The Lady Lions (24-7) came in at No. 25 in this week's national coaches poll released on Tuesday, Nov. 8.  It marks the first time in program history that FHU has received a national ranking.

Freed-Hardeman traded places in the poll with La Sierra (Calif.) University, which fell seven total points out of the final spot in the top 25.  The Lady Lions' recent performance at the Georgetown (Ky.) College Bone Yard Brawl played a big factor in their jump in the polls after impressive performances against four traditionally strong NAIA programs.

The Lady Lions have advanced to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round each of the last two years and are looking to make it three in a row.

The complete rankings can be found here.
