Head Coach - 3rd Season

Chris Hodges begins his third season as head coach of the men's and women's golf programs. Hodges was named head coach in the Fall of 2014.

This past season, Hodges led a young Lion roster to a first place finish in the Labor Day Intercollegiate while also leading the Lady Lions to three first place finishes in the Labor Day Intercollegiate, Christian Brothers Spring Classic and the Harding Natural State Classic.

The Lions and Lady Lions also had a successful 2014-15 season under Hodges, with three players being named to the American Midwest All-Conference teams. The Lions finished with three top-3 finishes, including a record-setting 288 at the Bulldog Spring Invitational. The Lady Lions had four top-3 finishes, including a record-setting 638 (318-320) at the Bulldog Spring Invitational.  

Hodges played for the inaugural Lions golf program from 1990-93. He is a 2005 graduate from Freed-Hardeman University, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. 

He has been married to FHU alum Linda Sanderson Hodges for 24 years, and has three children, Taylor, Ryan, and Katie.

Grad Assistant - 1st Season

Zack Morton enters his first season as a graduate assistant after a successful four-year golf career at Freed-Hardeman. Zack’s senior season saw him shoot 71 on two occasions, the first round of the William Woods Spring Invitational, and the first round of the Harding University Natural State Classic. His low tournament for the year was at the Harding University Natural State Classic (71-74). He had five top-ten finishes, including a second place finish at the Christian Brothers Invitational. He carded nine rounds of 76 or better on the year.
