Visiting Media Policies
Game Day Coverage
Freed-Hardeman University gladly welcomes members of local media to cover our athletic events. In order to help us best prepare for your visit, we ask that visiting media notify us of your intent to cover our events no less than 48 hours in advance. Advance notice will allow us to make sure we have a spot at the scorer's table as well as all necessary media information packets that the Office of Sports Information distributes. Without 48 hours advance notice, visiting media are not guaranteed privileged access to Freed-Hardeman facilities.

Media Information Packets
The Office of Sports Information prepares detailed information packets for all media. Radio and television broadcasters are always provided with the packets; print media will be provided with packets upon request.

Interviews
All interviews with coaches and athletes must be coordinated through the Office of Sports Information. If a member of the media wishes to conduct an interview via telephone, he/she is asked to leave a number with Sports Information as well as when to return the call. Athletes' phone numbers are not given to members of the media. In-person interviews will be conducted in the Freed-Hardeman athletic offices and will be arranged through the Office of Sports Information.

Coaches and athletes are available for postgame interviews upon request. Locker rooms are off-limits to members of the media. Interviews may be conducted in the hallway outside of the locker rooms or in the Office of Sports Information.

Radio
If a broadcasting team is accompanying a visiting team, we request that the Office of Sports Information be notified at least 48 hours in advance. Visiting radio may check in with the SID upon arrival if necessary for set-up information. Wireless internet is available, and Freed-Hardeman provides radio crews with halftime and postgame statistics.
